The amazing Sanura Sakai has organised the Extend a helping hand market to raise much needed funds for those affect by the devastating floods in Queensland, Australia. Many fantastic designers, a number of which are directly affected by these floods, have donated many items to help this fundraiser. It is harrowing to watch the devastation as it unfolds before our eyes. Heartbreaking to know it was getting worse and that we can't do a damn thing about it. But we can extend a helping hand to those affected by purchasing an item or two from this market or by making a donation. Not much really!

A good friend of mine, Rue, posted a meme on her blog, Rue the day!, mid December that has inspired me to venture back into the world of blogging. It's been awhile since I've blogged, rl has had me preoccupied. I have always loved taking pics in SL but I've never been the best at writing, so I thought that answering someone else's questions would make it a lot easier. I'm not one to talk about myself but I thought I'd follow suit and share a little about meme..

What is your occupation in SL?

Apart from inventory filler, I don't have one. I use to blog and I also use to do some modelling for The Stringer Mausoleum too, but my lazy arse hasn't done that in awhile. My original plans for SL were to make things to sell but I've been having to much fun stuffin around and playing dress-ups to bother. One day maybe.

How many items in your inventory?

I have over 35K in my inventory and I'm planning to delete about 20K of it (that may be some wishful thinking)

What are you listening to right now?

What was the last thing you ate?

Spaghetti on toast

Can you drive a stick shift?

Yes I can drive a stick shift/manual (Depending on where you live)

If you were a crayon, what color would you be?

Purple and probably toxic

Last person you spoke to on the phone?

My daughter, she's spending the night at her grandparents house

Do you like the person who sent you this?

Hmmm...let me think! Do I like Rue? Damn straight I do! Well maybe just a lil. I don't get to hang out with Rue very often in SL but I'm happy I get to keep in touch via plurk. This queen of all things dark and unnatural has the heart of gold and a personality to match. Her openness and honesty about who she really is has inspired my RL in more ways than one. Rue is an extremely talented artist, an amazing lady and a true friend.

How old are you today?

I'm 36 years, 2 months and 29 days old in RL and 3 and a half in SL

Favorite drink?

My avi's favorite drink is freshly decanted, warm human blood. And for an exotic flavour, a little neko or fae blood goes down a treat. I don't get to drink alcohol very often but when I do, I love Midori splices and Bailey & milk.

What’s your favorite sport to watch?

The Australian Ironman series

Have you ever dyed your hair?

Only a section of it. I have really dark brown hair and I occasional have a couple of stripes on top bleached blonde so I can dye it corvet red.

Pets?

Not really! We share a couple of sheep named Jess and Tess with our neighbour.

Favorite food?

Toad in the hole with mash potato and gravy.

Favorite day of year?

6^th of Feb and 3^rd of June, my kids birthdays.

What do you do to vent your anger?

Depends on how hard I'm pushed. If I'm at work, I'll just let them have it. Mind you, it takes a lot to get me to that point, I'm very laid back and don't particularly care what others say. If it's family related, I'll stew over it and if it's the kids shitting me, I'll leave the room to calm down.

What was your favorite toy as a child?

I had a few. I love my My little ponies, my smurf figurines and I had a strawberry BigM hoolahoop that smelt divine. I was the typical girl that had a few barbie dolls but I never had a ken, my barbies use to date my Michael Jackson and Gene Simmons dolls.

Whats your favorite season?

Spring. Lovely weather, not too hot. Sun is shining, birds are singing, bugs are buzzing and the flowers bloom in wonderful colours. We have a number of Kookaburras nesting on our property. Each spring you hear the babies learning their trademark cackle. Their attempt to laugh is just adorable, they sound broken...lol

Hugs or Kisses?

Depends who it's with. Hugs and kisses, I'm pretty affectionate.

Cherry or blueberry?

Cherries...grosse (unless it's a cherry ripe chocolate bar) so it will have to be blueberries.

Vanilla, baby powder, cut grass, christmas pine, Mum's roast, a baking chocolate cake, certain men wearing Joop after shave. My nan lives just up the road from a big bread company. I used to love playing in her front garden, the smell of freshly baked bread would waft through...mmm

My partner, my children, my brother, Ruina Kessel, Sierra Sugar and Stryda Radek (Where ever in the world he may be)

What are you afraid of?

That which I can't see in the dark.

Definitely cheese

A black 58, 62 or 66 Chevrolet Impala, hard top or convertible. So pretty much old skool, black, very shiny and got some grunt.

I love cats but I don't have a favorite breed. I'll have any cat as long as it's not to stubborn and fiery.

Favorite Tree?

My favourite tree would have to be the Bodhi tree. With it's heart shaped leaves, this huge sacred fig tree is ancient, rare and very spiritual. It is believed that Gautama Buddha achieved enlightenment under this tree.

Favorite all time music Album/CD

This is a hard question. I like songs more than whole albums but I can think of a few albums that I listen to from cover to cover like Live – Throwing Copper, P!nk – Fun house & Ga ga's The fame monster.

Under the veil of darkness, a Circus of the damned rolled into town. Rumours quickly spread of Vampires, as many of the town folk began to vanish. No laughter is ever heard coming from this big tent, only the screams of those unfortunate enough to enter alone.

So come on in. Take a seat...if you dare!

Believing vampires are nothing more than fiction and being a rather inquisitive individual, you decide to take a closer look and step into the dimly lit tent. It was cold and empty. The smell of blood fills the damp night air. You suddenly feel a presence, and as if out of nowhere, a clown had magically appeared, intrepidly balancing high above on the tight rope. Her arm swung forward, and with a slight twist of her thumb, she had splayed apart four large knives. You take a seat on an old hand carved wooden chair. Your excitement and anticipation begin to mount, as you gaze hypnotically up at the circus performer. To your amazement, she holds the very sharp blade ends of the knives and begins to juggle. The evil fanged beauty, turns and glares straight at you with her vivid blue eyes. She herself desires to be entertained, and she has you in her sights. All of a sudden, she throws the knives in your direction. With precision, she has pinned your arms and legs tightly to the chair by your clothing. With wide eyes, you look down at the large blades that just missed your skin. You begin to panic. As you try to move, you fail to notice that the clown was no longer up on the tight rope and that she was now standing directly behind you. As you look back up at the now barren rope above, you hear a gentle whisper in your left ear "Scream for me". Cold lips press firmly against the skin on the side of your neck, then an agonisingly sharp pain as she sinks her fangs deep into your warm flesh. She borders on ecstasy as your blood begins to flows over her tongue. You scream at the top of your lungs due to the affliction she forced upon you but you soon stop as her bite becomes extremely erotic. Within seconds, your body becomes calm and relaxed, no longer trying to fight her bite of death. Everything goes dark...

Releasing her grasp from your neck, the clown takes a step back and wipes a small drop of your blood from the corner of her mouth with the tip of her finger and places it on her tongue. "Mmmm...delicious! Compliments to the chef". Before leaving, she leans over your wretched body and retrieves her beloved weaponry, then vanishes back to the shadows from where she came.

The awesome shorts are a fairly recent release from BC322. They're called Leather Bermuda pants and I loves them. They have a studded belt, wallet and chain and knuckle dusters in the back pocket.

This rather unique blue pendant necklace is from Fusion, I bought mine from the Black and blue fair but you get them from Fusion's main store. The stuning eyes are from the devilishly divine Ruina Kessel of the House of Ruin. Tonic XXX Hypnotist.

Loco Poco's have turned 2, and to celebrate they have some great events for you to participate in. First is a fantastic hunt. Loco Poco's always have amazing hunts with awesome prizes. Check Loco Poco blog for more info.

Located just outside LP store, you'll find easy to follow instructions on how to hunt. Once you have clicked the sign, then attached the HUD, it's time to go exploring. Look all around, including on the island, for the items you need. The hunt items are a good size and not hard to find. Complete the hunt and you'll win a unique Loco Poco avatar.

If you have never been to Loco Poco Island before, it is a great place to see, explore and have some fun.

While exploring and hunting, keep on eye out for these well hidden silver keys. If you are lucky enough to find one, hold on to it tight. You can use it to unlock some more amazing prizes.

Once you find a silver sparkling chest, wear the silver key you found. It will float above your head, then click on the chest and you'll receive a random LP prize. A number of stores in the LP's mall also have a silver chest, so find more keys. I am holding a bucket filled with sweet, delicious goodies, which is a prize from Prettiful and a ice cream sundae from Brushed...YUM!

Over the past few days, I have spent many hours checking out more of the live entertainment at SL7B. Events like these are a great opportunity to hear a large line up of many wonderfully talented musicians, singers, performers and artists. I got to hear bands, guitarists (acoustic and electric), electronic musicians, a poet, rock bands, impersonator, comedians, karaoke, a marching band and singers of all styles. Of course with the vast variety of performers, there will be styles that are not to your liking but then there will be those that will move you, rock your inner soul. Happy Birthday Second Life

Second Life has turned the big 7 "HaPpY BiRtHdAy" So that means it's time to party! Head over to SL7B and explore the 21 SIMs. They're filled with amazing builds, sculptures, exhibits, moving art, interactive instillations, poetry readings, DJ's, live entertainers Spanish lessons and much much more. You can even take a tour shuttle around the SL7B regions. It's approximately a 55min round trip. The theme of this years birthday bash is "Unexpected Collaborations" and the event runs from 21^st June to 3rd July. For more info about this event, check out the SL7B blog.

This is the main stage of SL7B. You'll find some great entertainers performing here.

Welcome to Pipora Pepora.

This very beautiful and serene garden, hidden under the waters surface, was created by seraim Short. Pipora Pepora is located along side Dreamy Moon (another of seraim's creations). The two blend beautifully into each other, creating an angelic world. Eels SIM is also the home of Sole Accessory, Elysion Optic and Lithium.

Forgive me for I have sinned, it has been a hundred and forty five years since my last confession. I took something which was not rightfully mine, the life an innocent but I enjoyed it immensely. I stalked my victim, a pretty young thing in her early twenties, as she left the cupids fair mini hearts hunt over at Glam Affair. Hearing her constantly whine about how much of her own time she had to waste to find free gifts, enraged my inner damned soul. Little did she know that she had now become the prize in my own hunt. When the moon was at it's highest, I pulled her into the shadows. The pounding of her beating heart was deafening yet so alluring as it quickened. Having her pinned against the wall, I leaned in close, and with a soft voice I whispered "fear not my child, for I shall rid you of your burden of time". I felt the warmth of life as I pressed my lips against her neck. My fangs pierced her delicate skin with such easy. I drank the warm, crimson fluid as it flowed freely, revitalising my cold body from the inside out. I continued to feed upon her mortal essence till just before the last beat of her heart. It was a clean kill, not a drop was spilt. I took the heart shaped parcel that the girl had in her possession then fled the scene. Upon arriving home, I covered my blood stained lips with a mask then opened the parcel revealing a cute pink and black lingerie set, which of corse I tried on. Who says a Vamp can't wear pink!?!

If there is anyones profile that you should sticky beak into, it would definitely have to be that of AM Radio. An extremely creative in-world artist, whose work I really enjoy. I have followed his remarkable artwork for some time now and I definitely wanted to share it with all of you.

Touch things, become immersed in AM's work. You can interact with many of his installations in one way or another, becoming part of the art work.

These pics are just a small glimpse into the artistic mind of AM Radio.

Surface

The grassy plains seem to just go on forever as the clouds roll by over head.

A number of train carriages with blank walls sit idol on their tracks. A can of spray paint sits on a table nearby. Hmmm...looks like an open invitation to me! *grins*

Touch the spray can and you will gain access to graffiti the train. You will get a drop down link to go to a web page. There you will get to spray paint your own design on the side of the train, using your mouse.

You need to allow for streaming media, which is in your preferences under Audio & Video. Then once you have completed your masterpiece, your artwork will appear in-world on the side of the train and also on flickr in Surfacegraph's photostream.

Desolate and dry, as far as the eye can see. It's making me thirsty just looking at it. Click either of these vehicles and you'll receive a copy to drive around the SIM in. Put your foot to the floor, feel the virtual breeze flow through your pixelated hair.

The Far Away - Wheat Fields

Very reminiscent of the twister that swept Dorothy out of Kansas. Though motionless in time, you can almost feel the strength of the wind as it hurled the chairs across the field.

Also here, you can donate by purchasing some of AM Radio's items on the board, above the power lines. Large majority of the proceeds go to Heifer International Charity, and the rest goes toward keeping The Far Away up and running for all to enjoy.

The Quiet: Further Away and Further Apart
A vast, snowy white canvas. Cold, quiet and very still. A gentle fall of snow is very calming.

The talented man himself. I love AM Radios attention to detail on even the most smallest of prims. I think the dragonflies are adorable.

Omega Point

Greetings fellow travellers and welcome to Omega Point. I have to start off by saying that my following pics do absolutely no where near the justice that this build deserves, but I will try my best to show you a small glimpse of what is waiting to be explored. This place definitely has to be seen to be believed. There are many wondrous sites that await you around every turn.

The amazingly talented, Sweetlemon Jewell has created an astounding build that fills the entire SIM, from the ground up, way beyond the clouds. This mysterious dark fantasy world is absolutely stunning with exquisite, highly detailed textures throughout.

All the areas have been set up with a teleport system to make it easy to get to a particular area.

You can always use your traditional SL flying abilities to get around Omega Point, but if you don't have any flight assistance (e.g. flight feather) to help get your avi to the highest point, then you could pilot one of the flying vehicles that Sweetlemon has arranged for travellers and adventures like yourself to use.

This is the Flying Alien Vedette. You can even take a passenger with you too.

There is also a flying bubble for individuals to fly around in. Both vehicles are easy to operate, just have to use the page up/down and the arrow keys.

Nightmare Eden

Halloween is a fantastic time of year that is filled with lots of frightening fun. Here is a game for you all to have a bit of fun with, and it will run till November 15th. Head to the Embarcation Center over at Sn@tch City, click on the Nightmare Eden sign on the table. You will be given instructions and a LM to begin you journey into this Sci Fi horror adventure into the future.

You begin in one of these stasis chambers. On your arrival, you begin to realise that something is not quite right with Eden. The bloody corps on the floor some what gives it away. Look around and you'll find a uniform to wear so you can blend in with the rest of the crew.

WTF is that?

This thing has seemed to have dropped an eye ball.

This game has a number of puzzles that you will need to solve to make your way to the end. The puzzles are quoted as "simple yet slightly challenging" but there are also clues to help you out. Click on anything that you think may be useful.

Poor soul!

There are heaps of prize, from many of the amazing designers that resided in Sn@tch City. They are strune all over Eden, so keep your eyes peeled.

Another challenge lies ahead...keep you wits about you and you will survive!

The main computer has lost control...I've got to get out of here!

They have done it again! The dynamic duo of Damien Fate and Washu Zebrastripe, creators ofLoco Pocos, have yet another amazing event set up for us to enjoy!

Loco Pocos Trick or Treat. The event is set up so you can play as either a Loco Poco or as a human.

When you arrive at Loco Poco Island, find your way here and click on the spooky pumpkin. For those of you that were lucky enough to do the Loco Poco Halloween hunt last year, you'll remember how much fun it was filling your pumpkin with loads of goodies.

When you arrive, grab yourself a pumpkin shaped candy bag. Then start banging on lots of doors to collect your goodies.

A little warning, some of the residents that live in this village aren't particularly fond of trick or treaters.

They keep their goodies and candy to themselves and will give you a good fright to try and scare you away. Be strong and all your door knocking will reap a wonderful reward!

Black gummy bears are a witches favourite treat, besides chocolate coated bat wings.

Time to get ya hands dirty! Dove Swanson of Long Awkward Pose and Autumn Hykova of Tiny Bird are currently running the 'Poop Hunt 09' and it's on for another couple of days. It ends on Friday the 4th so get ya arses over to the newly defecated Festivale SIM now, while there still fresh. This is the shittiest, stinkiest, messiest hunt I've done but it is bloody funny and there are shit loads of amazing crap for guys. Here are pics of some of the shit that I found.

Tah dah! Some dirty bastard with a very clever sphincter has managed to curl this one around a tree, now that takes talent. As you can see, there is crap everywhere, on trees, buildings, statues and all over the ground, so watch where ya step.

Dead Shot!

Time to lock 'n load...we're going zombie hunting.

I have been given word that over in the Nipponbashi SIM (mature), a run down building to the NE, has been infested with zombies. Your quest, should you choose it, is to exterminate the undead. Bring your favorite weapon an unleash your fury. This quest is not for the faint hearted but is a great place for a first date.

Welcome to DEAD SHOT!

Don't worry if you don't have any of your own weapons, there are a few free weapons at Dead Shot available for you use. There's a gun, holy water and a zombiesaber. If you aren't into guns, swords or fighting with your bare hands, you can try the less violent approach and gently bash the zombies with soft fluffy pillows or pelt them with snowballs. These weapons are also available for you to use for free. Grab a free Zombie HUD and attach it. It enables your weapons to damage the zombies, including your bare hand. Read the notecard for instructions, it is easy to understand. The HUD is C:SI/DCS/CCS & Lightsaber compatible and it also keeps count on all the zombies you kill. Please read the 'Big Six' rule board located near the entrance of Dead Shot, before you begin and don't go shooting other Avi's because you will damage them.

With your weapon drawn, you enter the combat zone with a sense of calm. Everything seems quiet and still. As you investigate the glowing lights that are radiating out of the floor, without warning, zombies appear and begin to surround you. Be quick to take aim, shoot straight and pray your gun doesn't jam. The more you run around and through the glowing lights, the more zombies you get to destroy.

Bring it on! Zombie bitches!

These zombies are easy to fight, but if you take them on alone and they appear in large numbers, these emotionless creatures will not be lenient. They have but one task at hand, devouring you!

Shoot, stab, kick, punch, rip there heads off with your bare hands. Do what ever it takes to take these zombies down. Once you have finished your warm up fight on this level, head to the lift and try another level. I suggest you go down first.

If you take the lift up, it leads you to a empty room with a large, dark, bell shaped object hanging from the ceiling. Click it and prepare to battle the Bonnou Zombies. Five of these evil looking guys will appear and they don't go down to easy. They have 100% health and won't leave you alone till it hits zero, but beware, they keep coming. Kill 5 and 5 more of a different colour will appear. Each new 5 zombies become faster, making it harder to kill. If you manage to survive the onslaught of each new level, a final fight begins. One more Bonnou Zombie, a boss fight. He moves extremely fasts and it takes 100 hits to kill him. This fight is challenging and a lot of fun, especially if you take them on alone.

Use the lift again to take you to the lower level. Here you will be attacked by a swarm of giant 'Bee Zombies' They're fierce and pack a killer sting. These guys are agile and move rather quickly. How well are you with a smaller, faster moving target?

At the top of the screen you will see a heart with 100% next to it, this is your health. Watch it because if you should fall during the fight and your heart hits 0%, your death will come in the form of a teleport and you shall be returned home. It is a good thing that our avi's don't actually die so just TP back and continue the fight. If you click on the eye of your HUD it will bring up a TP for you. WARNING: I don't know what will happen should your Avi be bitten too many times by zombies. I took on the zombies alone and I have unfortunately received a few bites. They sting and have become extremely itchy. I'm suddenly feeling a bit woozy "HELP ME"...everything goes black...ARrrrrr........

RRrrrrrr...you...smell goooooood...come...play with my new friends...we wait...to feast...on your braaaaaaains...

**DEAD SHOT**

Japanese Battleship Yamato

oday we travel to a SIM called YAMATO of Japan, that holds a remarkable and massive build. Here you'll find a replica of a Japanese Battleship Yamato.

Beautiful cherry blossoms line the street, partially hiding the iron monster towering in the background.

The battleship runs the full length of a SIM. The red arrows are actually pointing to me, yes that tiny spec is me. The shear size is incredible, you suddenly feel quite small when your standing on deck. The creator of this build is MASAKADO Allen and his eye to detail is outstanding. It is amazing to see what some people can do with the humble prim. Unfortunately I can't tell you much about this build because I don't understand Japanese and can't read the sign, but to just see this ship, you can understand that a lot of work had gone into creating it.
At the stern of the ship is the A6M2-N "Rufe" the ride, where you can click to rezz a plane that will take you on a tour around the ship and part of the SIM. The plane lands on a platform high up on the tower, where you will find another plane to click and rezz. It will take you on another tour and will throw in a couple of loops and dives before it ends with an ocean landing. Also back up on the tower platform is a diving gate where you can try some parachuting. There is a trial version parachute available in a box up next to the gate, that will last for 3 days. The plane ride and parachuting both give you the option of human or tiny. Enjoy!

Inspire Space Park

In a galaxy far, far away...

Our journey begins at a fantastic place called INSPIRE SPACE Park. This amazing space park has been around for quite awhile and I was shocked that I had never heard of it. If you haven't been here before, this place is breathtaking. The creators, Earth Primbee, Grafx Newbold, and Raphael Cremorne of Virtual Life Media, have all done a remarkable job on this build.

When you arrive, make sure you set 'World' to midnight for the best results. There are also a few other places that you can TP to within the Sim. There is Inspire Beach down below, with a Drive Inn, deck chairs, bon fire, etc... and again, lots of pose balls. Oh! and I can't forget the mud wrestling pit (in case you feel like getting down and dirty...lol) The Emporium, if your in the mood for a little shopping and there is The Edge dance space.

Relax and unwind, feel the cosmic energy of the universe as it swirls all around you. There are tons of pose balls and animations set up all over the place, such as meditation pads like this one, there's Tai Chi, slow dances, lots of chairs to kick back in, a pile of cushions and rugs to lay on and watch the stars.
Try one of the many orbital pose balls and go on a journey through outer space. This space suit is an old freebie from Designing Nicky Ree but is still available. There is a male version too.

And those that are looking for something a little more intimate, jump on one of the many couple pose balls, to hug, snuggle, cuddle and kiss your partner or good friend as you both orbit around the space park, just the two of you, alone among the stars. Please note that this is a PG Sim so no nudity or sexual references in open chat.

Even if outer space is not your thing, this place is definitely worth checking out.
