Happy Birthday Second Life

Second Life has turned the big 7 "HaPpY BiRtHdAy" So that means it's time to party! Head over to SL7B and explore the 21 SIMs. They're filled with amazing builds, sculptures, exhibits, moving art, interactive instillations, poetry readings, DJ's, live entertainers Spanish lessons and much much more. You can even take a tour shuttle around the SL7B regions. It's approximately a 55min round trip. The theme of this years birthday bash is "Unexpected Collaborations" and the event runs from 21^st June to 3rd July. This is the main stage of SL7B. You'll find some great entertainers performing here.

You can't have a party without some tunes. DJ's are pumping up the music all over SL7B, spinning tracks pretty much every hour of the day. There are a number of places set up for DJ's to play their sets so you can get down and get jiggy with it!

I got to rock out with the stunning DJ Sierra Sugar at Stage 1.

As well as partying with DJ Davey Swindlehurst.

Pipora Pepora

Welcome to Pipora Pepora. 

This very beautiful and serene garden, hidden under the waters surface, was created by seraim Short. Pipora Pepora is located along side Dreamy Moon (another of seraim's creations). The two blend beautifully into each other, creating an angelic world. Eels SIM is also the home of Sole Accessory, Elysion Optic and Lithium. 

Snow bellows up from the ground with the sound of a crashing wave.

Bird leg tables support large angelic wings.

Tune in to AM Radio

If there is anyones profile that you should sticky beak into, it would definitely have to be that of AM Radio. An extremely creative in-world artist, whose work I really enjoy. I have followed his remarkable artwork for some time now and I definitely wanted to share it with all of you.

Into the sky

Touch things, become immersed in AM's work. You can interact with many of his installations in one way or another, becoming part of the art work.

These pics are just a small glimpse into the artistic mind of AM Radio.

Surface

The grassy plains seem to just go on forever as the clouds roll by over head.

A number of train carriages with blank walls sit idol on their tracks. A can of spray paint sits on a table nearby. Hmmm...looks like an open invitation to me! *grins*

Touch the spray can and you will gain access to graffiti the train. You will get a drop down link to go to a web page. There you will get to spray paint your own design on the side of the train, using your mouse. 

Busted!  

What!?!  I couldn't let an opportunity like this pass me by.

You need to allow for streaming media, which is in your preferences under Audio & Video. Then once you have completed your masterpiece, your artwork will appear in-world on the side of the train and also on flickr in Surfacegraph's photostream.

Here's my attempt at a little graffiti.

Superdyne
Desolate and dry, as far as the eye can see. It's making me thirsty just looking at it. Click either of these vehicles and you'll receive a copy to drive around the SIM in. Put your foot to the floor, feel the virtual breeze flow through your pixelated hair.

The Far Away - Wheat Fields

Very reminiscent of the twister that swept Dorothy out of Kansas. Though motionless in time, you can almost feel the strength of the wind as it hurled the chairs across the field. 

A train stands alone in a field, ageing gracefully.

Also here, you can donate by purchasing some of AM Radio's items on the board, above the power lines. Large majority of the proceeds go to Heifer International Charity, and the rest goes toward keeping The Far Away up and running for all to enjoy.

The Quiet: Further Away and Further Apart
A vast, snowy white canvas. Cold, quiet and very still. A gentle fall of snow is very calming.

The talented man himself. I love AM Radios attention to detail on even the most smallest of prims. I think the dragonflies are adorable.
